About This Course

This course is designed for Global Power Generation Site Managers and provided by the Department of Management and Production Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. The course is sponsored by Global Power Generation Construction Division. Contents are given by faculty members of Politecnico di Torino in collaboration with Global Power Generation and RAMS&E experts.

The course is intended to provide Site Managers with a common reference language, shared knowledge base and basics in various topics related to Project Management, Construction Management, Safety, Environment, Quality Management and Innovation in construction: the fundamentals needed to effectively act in the role and responsibility of the owner’s site manager in the construction of renewable energy power facilities.

This course is given through an online platform as a mean of instruction for your enhanced learning experience. You can enjoy both Internet-browser and tablet or smartphone user interfaces.

The course is structured into 10 modules. Each module has several short videos, readings and an assessment, which you have to pass before you move to the next module. Each module takes approximately 4 hours of individual work, including the video lectures, the reading and taking the test. At the end of the training path you will also be requested to complete a short individual project work assignment. You can take up to 10 months to complete your training path. Upon successful completion of all tests and handing out the final project work, a certificate of attendance of executive education will be released by Politecnico di Torino worth 4 ECTS (Exchange Credit Transfer System) of university education.

Requirements

This course is designed and developed for Enel Green Power. You must be an indicated Site Manager at Enel Green Power to enroll in this course. There are no educational requirements to enroll in this course.

Course Staff

Course Director, Politecnico di Torino

Alberto De Marco, MSc and PhD in Building Engineering from Politecnico di Torino is an Associate Professor of Project Management with the Department of Management at the Politecnico di Torino.

He provides graduate and executive education in Project Management, Construction Management, and Public Private Partnership at various institutions internationally. He is the coordinator of the Project Management Lab at Politecnico di Torino and the Smart City Finance and Techology Prorgram.

He formerly worked as a Project Manager in France and Italy. He founded three start-up companies.
